Our Officiants

Rev. Sid Korpi

Rev. Cynthia (Sid) Korpi has been an officiant since 2007. Being a bone-deep nonconformist herself, her specialty is working with couples who want their individuality to shine through in their wedding ceremony. With over four decades of experience as an award-winning actor, author, artist, and teacher, she will help you create a memorable nuptial event infused with whatever approach you seek: humor, wit, joy, pizzazz, quirkiness, spirituality, reverence, or even gravitas (and other fancy words like that).

She believes that something as important as a wedding should reflect your personalities as a couple—including your values, dreams and goals. She will listen to your love story to learn what’s in your hearts, in order to best express why you desire to merge your life with that of your partner.

Her ridiculously eclectic background includes acting in B-movies such as Attack of the Moon Zombies and House of Ghosts (both of which may be too cheesy for the lactose intolerant to view). She authored the nonfiction book Good Grief: Finding Peace After Pet Loss, which won four literary awards, including “Best Book of the Year for Self-help” by Premier Book Awards.

Sid teaches private painting parties through her business Just Arting Around, she performs roles as a standardized patient and/or client at various universities’ medical and law schools, and she is a professional dog walker/pet-sitter. Her passions include her love for animals, dancing, singing, creating art, playing games, and being a part of nature.
